• Caulking or joint sealing is the art of applying a sealant between a gap of crevice to close the gap.

• Seals that are applied poorly may only last a couple of months but they should last for several years.  

• Seals lasting several years is not uncommon but eventually the seals will break down and stop doing the job that they were installed to do.

• For caulking the average bead will start to form a skin in about 20 minutes but will take roughly 24hrs to cure.

• We recommend that you leave your new seals alone as long as possible to ensure a strong bond. In cooler times of the year it can take a bit longer to cure.
